Star earns NCE gold award for
leadership in the Sri Lankan textile industry
On December 6th, 2024, Star was recognized by the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) for its leadership in the country’s textile and garment sector—taking home the gold award within the ‘extra-large’ business category at the 32nd annual NCE Export Awards.
Star’s continued growth amidst a challenging global market in 2023—including the acquisition of Kolonna Manufacturing Ltd as its 12th factory—has further solidified Sri Lanka’s position as a leader in manufacturing and innovation for globally recognized brands.
With consistently high export volumes and valuable global partnerships, Star is a significant contributor to Sri Lanka’s annual apparel export earnings, which exceeded $4.5 billion in 2023.
